Kalwall® Translucent Panels will eventually cover over 78,000 square feet of the shell of Miller Park which is about 98% of the outfield grass area. That's a lot of Kalwall!3rd Base Crescent under construction features a Kalwall® band app. 550' x 22'First Base is a Mirror of 3rd scheduled for installation in the late summer of 2000.. The interior of the 3rd base crescent features a new Horizontal Banding System called the Miller Multi-Story System.

A major design advantage of Kalwall structural panels was incorporated into the Miller Park Project. Unitizing Kalwall panels at the factory minimizes on-site labor.Imagine picking up a truckload of panel and installing them in six hours! Thats over 5000 square feet!This unitized panel system is also credited with saving the project nearly $100,000 by eliminating structural steel in separate head, sills and jambs and labor cost savings!

Our first days efforts on the Outfield.After spending about 2 years in the design phase it was quite a relief to see that the planning and proper layout really paid off! 28 panels app. 4' x 35' were installed the first day of outfield erecting in about 6 hours. We now call this a "drive -by" installation !

Operable walls are part of contract 8B.  Our sub-team of Uni-Systems Inc of Minneapolis and our Milwaukee erector, Great Lakes Contracting assemble and lift a 11 ton door in sections.  Careful planning makes a good day as the 9th bay of the Curved 140' x 70' operable wall is ground assembled and erected in about a day and lifted in-place in a mere 20 minutes!
